At the time, I did not have an official hard disk. Yep, you did make my first Free McBoot card. Or you can take the drive out and use WinHiip to transfer your games on the computer to the drive. Whenever I swapped the discs (it didn't matter if I did it at the “Press Start” screen, the mode select screen, or even the initial loading screen), the game would refuse to load off of my swap disc (meaning that new submenus, the memory card management screen, and even the background movie would cease to work). I tried again with Burnout 3, this time patching the Need For Speed Underground demo. The issue was when I tried to load the game Rampart, the PS2 would crash to the RSOD (Red Screen of Death, aka “Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc” screen). When I swapped the discs, I was able to go into the game selection menu.

I patched the iso correctly (after lots of research and lots of trial-and-error) and burned it to a DVD-R. My first attempt was with Midway Arcade Origins, overwriting the Rampart executable with ULaunchELF.

To install it (as any of you that know about this program would recall), you need to modify an official disc so that it will load another popular homebrew, ULaunchELF. In case you don't know, FreeMCBoot is a homebrew program that loads off of a memory card and allows you to run other homebrew.

The issue I'm having is that I am trying to install FreeMCBoot for my PS2 Phat. Hello Scratch community! I know this technically has nothing to do with Scratch, but I need help from the community and Scratch is safer than like 99% of forums.
